Amateur photographer but he has loved photography since he was a child, when he observes photographers at work he is amazed by the wonders with which they transform the clicks of their “magic boxes” into very realistic “drawings”. The common thread that unites his shots is the humanity of people: in work, in sport, in art (especially in dance), in religion, but also in the simplest moments of everyday life where men and women become “human beings” and his desire today is to be able to represent their humanity.

London Souls.
I have the impression that London is losing the soul that made me love it. That soul which permeated every corner, street and square and which gave rise to my passion, albeit not exclusive, for street photography. One by one, old buildings of old neighbourhoods are collapsing and rising in their place are modern architectures, astonishing, stupendous, but increasingly cold and poor of that lively cosmopolitan humanity nourished by the history of a colonial past; by the attraction exerted on people from distant peoples in search of a better place to live; by the vocation for all forms of entertainment, not only within the walls of the numerous theatres, but also in the streets, in the squares, in the underground stations where even public announcements can become virtuoso singing performances; by an irresistible conservative nature and, at the same time, by an irreverent propensity to break the mould at the expense of stale homologations. Perhaps I was just in time to breathe in this magical atmosphere that quickly fades away. My photographs are the casket of it.

Journey among the people
Jordan is a magical place and certainly among the most photographed places in the world, but for that category of photographers to which I discovered I belong, it cannot be the monuments, the archaeology and the landscapes alone that inspire the shots I prefer. I look for something else; I look for people and connections. I admit that travel is for me an amplifier of sensitivity. I live it as if the new world I face and immerse myself in is richer than the one I usually am in. In the places I visit I look for people and connections. I began my journey among the people of Jordan by meeting two splendid women at the Souk of El Salt, intent on their work and on the trade of the products they themselves manufacture or cultivate. At Souk El Khodra, in the historic center of Amman, the fruit and vegetable vendor was more calm than his colleagues and it was precisely his “deafening silence” that attracted me. In the Wadi Rum desert, a land of natural wonders, one Bedouin above all others touched my heart with non-verbal messages full of love and care. Then Petra, a splendid archaeological treasure and a hive of tourists; For a brief moment I saw a bubble of tranquility form in which a Bedouin and his dromedary found time to talk and take care of each other. Finally, the archaeological site of Jerash where, mediating between ancient and modern, between slender Roman columns and simple homes of the modern city, here is another human being. Man is contemporary, but his profession is as ancient as the animals he looks after appear. Travel is for me an amplifier of sensitivity. I experience it as if the new world I am facing and immersing myself in is richer than the one I am usually in. In the places I visit I look for people and connections like in Jordan the two beautiful women at the Souk of El Salt, intent on their work and the sale of their products. At the Souk El Khodra, in the historic center of Amman, the fruit and vegetable seller with his “thunderous silence”. In the Wadi Rum desert, when the Bedouin touched my heart with non-verbal messages full of love and care. Petra, where a Bedouin and his dromedary found time to talk and take care of each other. Finally the archaeological site of Jerash where to mediate between ancient and modern, here is another human being. The man is current, but his job is as ancient as the animals he looks after appear.
