Biografy
Mark Walshaw
Sheffield – England
He works for an inspection company and spends his days taking pictures of pipes and other mundane objects. He has recently taken up photography for pleasure again, spending most of his free time outdoors, hiking and mountain biking. He is attracted to urban environments and mainly photographs architecture and everyday life. Most of his photos are taken with his smartphone, but lately he has dusted off his old Sony camera and is looking forward to exploring landscape and portrait photography with a more conforming medium.
The Project
Urban Geometries
I’m very new to photography and enjoy all genres of it but I have been particularly drawn to architecture and focusing on minimalism, lines and geometry. Whereas I used to need the solitude and space of nature to recharge my soul I now find a similar experience wandering around cities getting lost and finding interesting aspects to focus on. Contributing to groups such as Pixel Photo Magazine and seeing the wonderful work of other photographers inspires me to get out and see the world with a different eye.
