The Project
Spaces of Silence
The Spaces of Silence project is a photographic story about landscapes that hide the peace and harmony of nature. The photos taken by Slawomir Kowalczyk are an attempt to capture fleeting moments in nature that are often imperceptible in the daily rush of life. The main goal of the project is to show the diversity of landscapes: from vast plains, to wooded valleys, to quiet lake shores or empty and open fields. Each photo is a conscious search for silence, which is expressed in the harmony between nature and man. In this collection of photographs, the author focuses on minimal composition and subtle capture of details, which together create a coherent image of the world around us. The places photographed, although different, share a common element: a sense of peace and stopping of time, which is so difficult to find in our daily reality.
