Ostróda – Poland

A teacher for 18 years, and a photographer for about 5 years, her photographic adventure began innocently enough during a walk on Lake Drwęckie in Ostróda. Admiring the sunset, something inside her urged her to capture it and from that moment on, she began to photograph mainly Masurian landscapes with her phone. In time she became interested in macro. Observing the small world up close gives her an inner calm and gives her joy. However, the time comes when she realises that the camera on her smartphone is no longer enough and she buys her first camera and a little later also a drone. The bird’s-eye view really excites her because it gives her a different perspective of the world and makes her surroundings feel small. She enjoys working with people and derives great satisfaction when she captures the highlights that mark their existence. She loves working outdoors in natural light, but always takes more photos using studio lighting. For the past 3 years he has been working with the editorial team of Ostróda News, for which he produces photo reportages of concerts and cultural events. She collaborates with the Hotel Dr Irena Eris SPA, for which she mainly holds culinary and thematic sessions related to the hotel offer and sometimes poses as a model in her own sessions. Honoured at the district celebration of Cultural Activist Day, she has participated in various exhibitions in Poland in the cities of Ostróda, Gdańsk, Sopot, Olsztyn and Elbląg. She is currently continuing her education at a school of photography in Poznań. What she is most proud of, was receiving the note of merit in the National Portrait Competition 2023. Photography gives her peace, moments for herself and openness towards people. And if she gives others positive emotions, that is the greatest success. The most important thing in her journey are the experiences gained, the new acquaintances, the touching moments and the smiles of the people who appreciate her shots. Plans for the future? The Project

"Bloodstain. The power of femininity".

It is the true story of a wounded and suffering woman who sheds blood as a symbol of tears. She sacrifices herself for the happiness of her children at the expense of herself and her family life. The photo shoot was carried out with artificial blood on model Ursula, who is the real heroine of her story. The photos are a series showing the woman weeping blood (symbolically, of course), then the blood running down her hands, only to be used at the end as a cosmetic to paint her lips. The initial suffering, over time and during the work on us, was eliminated and made Ursula feel valuable, important and beautiful again. By painting her lips, Ursula shows that it is possible to find a solution to any difficult situation and that by working with yourself you can feel better and regain your femininity. This is a very personal project, which aroused emotions and importance during its realisation and subsequent exhibition.
